Hi

Iam getting slightly itchy feet. My April 2005 997 (non S) cab tip with sat nav, telephone adaptive seats, PASM, carrera classic 19" park assist, xenons, multi function steering wheel sports chrono and cruise, with tracker, and armofend. 10500 miles. Just serviced with one years extra warranty.

My local OPC has a 2006 cab C2S tip with sat nav/telephone, park assist, heated seats, multifunction steering wheel and 5300miles.

The dealer is asking for a 14k changeover. Is this over the top. Mycurrent car is well speced but a non S. Any suggestions what to offer if at all.

In my opinion I wouldn't change. 14k for +30BHP ? That's worse than the Powerkit ! And the same cost you've just incurred for your first service and warranty will be due next year too. You've already got 19's, PASM and xenons, I don't think you'll find a great deal of extra performance for your money. You'd be better making a major upgrade, like to a C4S or turbo cab when it's launched. Sometimes these cars are so good that familiarity makes them a little dull. Try not using it for a while and you'll remember, or why not spend a few hundred pounds on driver training - a well driven Carrera is just as fast as a Carrera S. Take your car on a Porsche Driving Experience or try one of the 121 instructors like Bernard Aubry or one of the guys in the back of Evo magazine.

Seriously - I'm with the others £14k is too much for the upgrade. Wait until a later model, enjoy what you ahve as one of the fastest and probaby best ways of getting from A to B on any road:ROFLMAO:

Heresey ? I think you mean jealousy !! I could have had 2 and a half Powerkits for the price of this wedding !![;)][;)]

Decided to stay with what I've got. Will wait for a facelift - either a car or a plastic surgeon!

Thanks for all the advice.
