I have an August 2002 Cab tip C2 with a reasonable extra list, mileage of 13,000 purchased from my local OPC and serviced by them. 3rd year warranty. Have a new Cab coming in April/May and they have offered me £44,000. According to Parkers guide my car is worth about 50K but my OPC says Glass says 44. Am I being unrealistic or being taken for a ride.

The car is in good condition etc etc

Can anyone help

Hi Andrew

The price is a part-exchange although I told them they could have the car now and not when the new car arrives ( I have an everyday boring car)

Hi Jonathan,

my OPC says Glass says 44. Am I being unrealistic or being taken for a ride.

You could look here:

http://www.glass.co.uk/uk/en/

"For only £2.95 per vehicle, you will receive 3 condition adjusted Trade-in values and 1 Retail value.
Cars benefit from a further adjustment for mileage and options."

Seems like a cheap way to see their hand?

Jim.

without referring to the glass's guide I think that 44K next April/May is a reasonable figure; my guess is that next year they would have to resale your car at under 50K

Been looking at GTS and so far i have had quotes from £42k to £47.5K.
CAR IS A 996 c4 cab with 26,000 miles - 2002 August.

I feel the car is worth more.

But who knows, however they have 03 reg with 13,000 miles for sale in Leeds at about £54k.

Not a lot of help.
