Trailering my car

I'm going to Brands Hatch for an MSV trackday on the 24th and because it's the GP circuit which is so great, although it may seem like a silly plan, I'm seriously thinking of taking both the GT3 and the Clubsport to get the maximum out of what may be one of the last days of the season.

In the absence of a towball on the GT3 is there anybody you would entrust with a nice car to transport it from S London to Brands Hatch.

Have you seen the 964RS sub-forum moderator's second occupation in his profile?

...he also happens to be the 964RS Reg Sec i.e. if you want someone professional who knows a thing or two about these cars to handle the job.

I thought that was the answer but I sent him a PM a week or more back with no result...

Mel, is very good at getting back on email and forum so he must be on holiday... drop a sms txt on his mobile

Passing up work when sunning yourself on the Skye Riviera!!

And I thought you said you had to work in another Spa thread!

He wasn't on hols! Just working his little nuts off -Ian's e-mail never rcvd....

So having got our communication issues sorted out Mel did a great job trailering the Clubsport to Brands and returning it safely (including a call from Cobra Tracking to report it stolen!)

Anyway he's me leading the field on a day that was a bit tedious in the end due to a dozen red flags because people driving plastic kit cars couldn't keep them on the track in the rain...

I'm glad I didn't pay to be there!! Conditions were poor, particularly with the mix of rain and cr*p on the Indy left over from the Carrera Cup and Touring Cars previous weekend.

But no excuse for all the red flags -I could not believe that MSV didn't have an interim briefing/bollocking -you can imagine what Graham Clarke would have said if he's been there:- "You're all w*nkers....."[8|]

Glad it all worked out in the end Ian!!!

All credit to the old boy for taking Bluto out on track, must have been a days washing and waxing the day after.......[;)]

Sounds like the weather was not kind and i bet that did'nt help driving standards! I think to be fair you can get poor driving on almost any track day regardless of organiser and cost. I've been on some good MSV days and I've been on some bad ones, and the same could be said of PCGB days or whatever. Some people subscribe to the theory that if you pay more for the day the idiots somehow magically dissapear, personally i don't think so.

Yeh but, read my words:

Yes i fully agree Melv. Graham being the only person i have ever heard of actually doing so. And good on him.
The blue and Yellow thingy's (for want of better desc) look like serious bits of kit. Looks like the blue one is having some serious set up going on. Full laser alignment kit on a track day seems a bit hardcore to me.

The 'yellow thingy' (I love it when you get technical Laurence... [:D][;)][:)]) has about 600bhp.....popped and banged a treat, flames as well. The good Dr Watson was tuning it with his laptop....

I thought long and hard before making a judgement[:D] did'nt want to call it something it may not have been. I suppose nearest description is turbo bodied 911 ?? but i thought that was a bit of an injustice giving the level of detail.
