On the Turbo I had P-Zero Rossos for a short while which were just as bad, then Contis, which I found to be worse, but the new Yokos are fine. I don't know yet if it's 'new tyre syndrome'.

I had Pirelli PZeros on my Carrera 4 when I first got it. When it came time to change, I put Michelin Sports (18") all round. It made, for me, a huge difference. Much quieter and comfortable and the car felt much more 'planted'. I'll be going with Michelin Sports again when it comes time to change.
Got all four fitted for around the £700 mark. I'm sure others may be able to beat that though with some haggling. OPC wanted over £1400 for the same tyres but, I was told that I would get new valves!

Kwikfit were around £30 more.
National Tyres also do a 'warranty'. For an extra £5 per tyre , if you get a puncture or other damage which means the tyre needs replacing, they will give you a discount based on the amount of tread left on the tyre itself. Sounded like a good deal to me.
