I am considering a 2014 Cayenne 3.6S, one of the items in the service history is a removal and re-fit(presumably the original not a replacement) of the transfer box. I recall mention of a change in the design of a breather plug which was supposed to fix transfer box issues.
Has anyone any insight on this, was there a recall, is there a new design retrofittable breather plug or indeed any other part that might justify removal and re-fit of the existing box?
Unfortunately the dealer is some way from where I live, so don't want a wasted journey for a dodgey car; so any info appreciated. I may see if the dealer is willing to scan and e-mail the relevant bits of the history to see if that sheds anymore light, but it help if I knew what I was looking for.
