Transmission Oil & Engine Oil Change....

Hi,

My Nov 2005 Cayenne S Tiptronic has just passed the 114K mile mark and as it's almost one year since it's last service (9000 miles) I was thinking of having an Engine Oil change and also with regards to overall mileage of 114K, was thinking of having the Transmission Fluid changed too....?

The car has a full Porsche OPC service history and has been serviced approximately every 1 year (or 20K Miles). Should I just book it into my local OPC to have this carried out or use a local Independant specialist....?

Am I being too cautious or would you recommend both....?

Also what Engine Oil and Transmission Fluid would you recommend with regards to the mileage on my Cayenne...?

Thanks in anticipation for your thoughts/input.....

My S is a 2006 my with just over a 100k I only take it to the dealer, I would call your local Centre and ask for a price also remember that an Official Porsche centre will be able to carry out updates and recalls often for free,I would take a cayenne to an official centre every time. These cars need care as they get older as they are complex and are ££ if they go wrong.

Paulo what is the point in paying £100 an hour labour when you can get it for £50
.If she blows up now with that mileage and age you wont get a penny from porsche .
I would switch to 2 years ,the oil etc is not exactly getting stressed at 9k PA is it .
It really is a question of spending as little as possible on the thing without compromising safety .
