Transmission swap?

Hi all, thinking about a 996C2 as I actually love the shape and they seem great value right now. Trouble is I really want a manual 'box, but most of the cars in my price bracket are Tiptronics. For the right car, would it be financially viable to swap the auto transmission for a manual? Thanks for any advice! Merry Christmas (nearly!).

Ben,
There's a black one on 911uk for sale - manual with bits changed. Looks quite nice and I doubt you'll get one much cheaper.

It would be quite complicated to switch the transmission, pedal box, clutch hydraulics, etc, and then you have the issue of the electronics - ecu reprogramming, different instrument cluster, etc, etc.

In the end, it will be far better to hang on for a manual. They aren't that thin on the ground, but finding a cherished one should be your aim.

Thanks both. David I assume you mean the one at £10k with the tinted rear lights? Ideally I'm after a completely original car with Savannah leather, but I guess there may be a few with Savannah who would happily swap for grey?

This one Ben

Savannah cars should be around, I don't think it was that popular at the time and quite possibly not now.
Just got to keep looking. Was that the price range?
