Transparent Wheel Arch Protectors

I have a Targa C4S in silver, one of the wheel arch protectors is discoloured, I wondered if it was possible to change on a DIY basis or is it a body shop job ?.
Anyone changed one ?, if so what are the pitfalls.
I've only had the car 2 weeks, after changing from a 03 996 C4 cab.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Due to some paint repair I had one of mine changed recently...
First time it was fitted incorrectly, however they sent a man out to my premises and the guy did it single handed in a matter of minutes.. so guessing its not the hardest of jobs(or he was highly skilled and made it look easy [;)]), but for peace of mind I'd ask an OPC for a cost first of all.

For future reference, what did it cost in the end?
or was it done under some sort of warranty

Hi, I had mine replaced with some minor paint work at an approved Porsche repair center.

You might want to try an official repair center, rather than an OPC.

My guess is it would be more cost effective.

They replaced it with no charge, I had only had the car about 2 weeks which I purchased from an OPC.

My wheel arch protectors don't seem big enough I have the most enormous stone chip on the rear edge of my drivers side wheel arch right through to the bare metal its about two inchs long and 1/2 inch wide. Needs to be re painted but it will just come back!

I'd suggest that was the correct outcome, one of the benefits of an OPC purchase.[:)]
