Not sure if this is the right place but I need to rectify some of the previous owners modifications to my 1984 944. I need a new ashtray and the plastic grill in the centre of the dash.. maybe window demister? All in dark brown!

Cheers :) Im in South Wales btw

Hi

My first port of call would be your local OPC and/or Exeter OPC who have favourable pricing for us 944 types. Downloading the Porsche part catalogue (PET) will help you here identify the part numbers. Available here

If the prices are too much, keep an eye out for the items on eBay, post in the "Wanted" or alternatively ring one of the breakers. I've had good service from Porsch-Apart but there are others.

Cheers

James

Youll need eBay and a little patience. Watch out though, because there were three different browns between the 924 and the series one 944. Anything out of a 924S or a 944 will match, 924 parts wont. Some clowns who list everything at £10 will have one on offer, but they come up for 99p too, if you bide your time.

Ok cheers for the info and advice. The grill is annoying me as its got a big hole in it, well tiny but I can see it. The ash tray has been hacked about but not to much of a worry as its hidden so I can wait on that!

I was looking for some bits on ebay myself earlier, and I saw a few bits of brown trim offered that might just be what you are after. Suggest you hot foot it over there...

Satan,
I've got a brown ashtay that you can have FOC - the ashtray bit needs a good clean but you're quite welcome to it.
Send me an email if you want it,
Cheers,
Ad.

Cheers for that Ad,

Very surprised to find it in the post this morning. Now I owe you a couple of pints [:)]

Thanks again
