Trip of a life time

Just starting to plan a trip to pick up a 968 from my Dad's place in the Costa Blanca and drive it home to sunny Yorkshire. Bing maps reckons its a good 1400 miles!!

Anyone done a similar trip?

How long should I plan for it to take to do reasonably without driving every hour God sends?

Anyone recommend places to stay on the way?

Any idea of the cost of tolls in France and Spain?

What paperwork do I need?

Also the car being LHD do I need to have the stickers for the lights when I finally get into the UK?

Anything I could / should easily check on the car for before I set off to make sure I get home in one piece?

Any other helpful comments welcome.
