Ed and I spend most of our non-Porsche time sailing from the IOW.

Cowes is great fun but the accommodation is usually the boat so we sometimes escape to the George Hotel in Yarmouth. Great food and rooms. Saltys resturant and bar is nearby where we drink way too much.

This brings back memories of the Porsche Fests held on the Isle by Richard Long.
Great fun.

Terriffic days indeed! We've had 944 gatherings down there as well. I've got good contacts on the Island and always stayed at the Wight Mouse in Chale as a base (for over 30 years).

I've also got a friend on the island who I sold my Scooby to and he races in the Locost series and is involved with the IOW car club & motorsport.

He also owns some hotels on the Island ..... [;)]

I'd be up for a trip to the Isle.

Not sure about the GT3 boys though, trying to get on the ferry with their splitters.
