Hi all,
I am a Boxster Spyder owner from London R20. My wife and I are heading over for 2 nights in Tewkesbury this weekend, and plan a drive over to the North side of the Brecon Beacons, driving south through/over the mountains, and back heading South East on Saturday. It's obviously going to be damp and greasy, so caution required, but can anyone confirm if the roads are driveable at the moment and, if so, any tips for the trip ?

Cheers
Matt

All the main roads are clear. Plenty of great driving routes.

A40, A470, A44 all good, together with an array of quality B roads

Matt,

I was there last Friday and the roads are absolutely fine and completely clear, you will be in for a real treat the scenery is amazing! But beware of the mobile speed cameras?

If your looking for somewhere to have Lunch try the Nantyffin Cider Mill (not sure of full address, but just goggle it) great food.

All the best,
Steve.

Thanks for the replies guys, we're really looking forward to it, be nice to use the car for a decent run through beautiful surroundings. I'll check out the location of the suggested lunch spot also.

Purely from an intellectual point of view...do you have any more info on the mobile speed cameras ? Type (vans ?), likely location, how likely they may have them out etc ?
