trips for 08

Hi Chris,

I'd like to go to LeMans next year.... I'll still be Porscheless... but the beemer could be the safety car [:)]

Paul

1. late Jan, most likely Feb, trip to Booklands Museum
2. Repeat of the France trip we did this year with an added Abbeyville track day as an option. Tallmat has been looking at this and the plan is to book the track for Friday and those not doing the track can join in on Saturday (as a day trip) or stay overnight for a Sunday return.
3. Isle of Man (Geoff Ives annual trip May 2008)
4. Day scenic drive trips, Chris Mouzouris has a couple of routes and great lunch stops and I'm sure everyone else has a few others.
5. LeMans as mentioned in this thread

Please add more ideas...

The 997 register went only a week ago.. with a great time had by all..
We will be returning at some point next year hopefully, certainly well worth the trip, stunning scenery and brilliant driving roads.

Hi Gary,
Your Porsche meet in Switzerland trip was also something a lot of our region guys were interested in, I'll give you a call once MPH is out of the way... both Wales and Switzerland would be great to pencil down for next year.

...with Geoff's Isle of Man; our Spring drive to France (with Abbeville track as an optional day) and Adrien working on a longer Eurohoon trip, I think 2008 is well set.

Ah! Abbeville... I left my front spoiler there somewhere...[]

Switzerland will be August time, I'm just awaiting the confirmation of date for the Interlaken meet.
We can perhaps chat more about these at the workers conference..
As your MPH finishes, Birminghams starts..[:)]

Gary,
Interlaken looked like a fab meet. It's something that may be worth integrating as a waypoint on the proposed Eurohoon. Would be grateful if you could send any info on this, as you receive it, to the R20 email.
Thanks,
Adrien

Can't remember if I emailed the date for the Interlaken meet .. anyway its the Saturday16th August 2008.
Just putting the proposed route and dates together..

Hi Gary,
It was good discussing this with you yesterday; yes, we did put the date down in the club 2008 calender as well. I think we should start a new thread to the trip i.e. route; number of people interested; number of days, etc...

So far we have got interest from 997 and Londoners, maybe discussing it in the members only sub-forum might be a neutral ground to get things started?
