Trouble getting Michelin Pilot Sports for 987

Hi folks

Got a 2.7 987 and no-one seems to have any Pilot Sports for the rear 17s...Michelin are out of stock too with no confirmed date.

Have been asking for 235/50 ZR17 which is what it says on the tyres...am I missing something or are they just all out of stock?

Any recommendations for people to try appreciated, have tried
Kwik-fit (they deny the tyre exists)
National (out of stock)
Universal tyres (same)
mytyres.co.uk (same)
event tyres(same)

thanks!

What size are they again? That doesn't look right to me.

I just bought a full set for my 986 from Elite Garages. 0845 458 1080.

Rears I bought are 255/40 17

Edit. According to the Michelin Tyre configurator you are correct - 235/50 17 is a valid tyre size on the latest cars. My apologies[&:] Learn something new every day...

Oh hang on...Porsche say they can get them...worry over. Thanks! Quoted 375inc vat all in for 2 rears.

Not sure which area you're in, but if you're anywhere near Derby, try calling CTS Tyres on 01332 290699. They can get pretty much anything on a next day delivery. I had two front tyres, (Pilot sport "N1" rated), fitted for £144 each. OPC in Nottingham quoted £189 each for the same tyres. CTS specialise in alloy wheel and tyre supply and fitting, so they're really careful with your rims too.[:)]
