trying to get a better feeling clutch

In a further attempt at getting the turbo feeling new, or perhaps just a little younger, I was wondering if the clutch could be made to feel better. I know its a hard thing to describe, but some feel better than others.

Anyway on turbos from 1990 and 1991, they had a different clutch master cylinder, and a different pedal assister spring.

Has anyone who has driven an '89 or earlier turbo, also driven a '90 or '91 turbo and found any difference to the feel of the clutch?

It may not be something worth doing, but as I amchanging the master cylinder anyway i migt get the later one, and source a spring. But as i say thats if anyone can tell me if theres any difference to the feel.

Ta.

Perhaps you can first try to adjust the clutch pedal travel ?
The clutch on my S2 had always felt rubbish and it felt the same after I had it replaced (along with slave and master). I eventually adjusted the travel and it has felt much better since.
You'd be quite hard pressed to find any less expensive mod, too [:)]

It is adjusted. I take it you havent driven an earlier car? as there must be a reason porsche did the swap

I did test drive an '89 turbo and three '88 turbo S . As far as I can remember their clutches did not feel any different to the later set up.
