Hi Folks anyone out there updated a 2.1 PCM sat nav system with the discs(DVD) from Ttnuts, price is great, anyone bought from there? cheers all..

I've heard good reports but bear in mind its not a genuine disc. You also need to be a little cautious before updating as some cars require a software update of the pcm before being able to use the new map DVD. If you have an early car running a 2004 map DVD you will need to update the PCM before you can use the new map DVD , the DVD drive also needs updating in software . If you want any more advice send me an e mail.

Cheers Bertie, TTNuts have looked at the photo of unit i have showing current software/ firmware verson, see below...

You have software version 3.3, and the code for the PCM is fine. You don't need a software update, just the Sat Nav Disc. I can post to you this evening, if you make payment via paypal. All you will need to do is swap the disc, in your DVD drive, and accept an update, which will take two minutes to add the new Points of Interest etc. :)

looks like i need dvd map only not software also?
