TTP Conversions

I have a '96 C4S with a twin turbo conversion by TTP in Germany which was carried out in 1990. I bought the car earlier this year.

Just wondering if any one else owns, or has experience of, 993s which have had this conversion. I know the compmany did some hundreds of 993s, but not sure how many on UK cars. There are a couple of foibles which I'd be grateful for the chance of discussing with other owners.

Any help or contacts gratefully received.

Thanks

Martin

That's amazing, I'm impressed, they fitted a turbo conversion to a car six years before the car was even built, what amazing tuners those Germans are , maybe I'll get them to tune my Porsche 998 now, then it will all be sorted when i buy it in 2016 lol

Martin,
I remember reading about one on here - but I did a search and only threads I can find are yours!

The main issue is that the engine holds on to its revs sometimes when you get off the throttle, usually when the turbos have done some work but not to the top of the rev range. Christian at Steve Bull in Devizes has had an email from TTP saying it is a known characteristic of the conversion which they tell customers about at the outset. Just wanting to confirm this is correct, or see if anyone's come up with a fix.

I also wondered what sort of boost pressure you should expect. The guage doesn't show any more than 0.8 bar whereas a couple of people have commented it shuould be nearer 1.1/1.2.

Thanks

Martin
