Dr P I can see and almost hear [:D] you are seriously impressed with the end results I was hoping to hear similar reviews from 987 owners before parting with my hard earned but having chatted with Scuderia and been offered a 7 day money back if not happy guarantee it may soften the blow should I go for it and have any regrets [;)]

I'd be interested in cost as i'd like to compare it to the official PSE when its released in the New Year.

I asked the sales guy at East London OPC about retrofitting an PSE and he said that it was not possible on a 3.2 - only factory fitted at the moment, but as it's the SAME fitting as a 3.4, it would be on Techquipment soon. When I asked about a non Porsche system, he looked at me as if I'd asked his mother out on a date. I suggested that there must be a few 997/987's out there with non OE stuff. He replied "well none of my customer have it".

As a separate rant, I don't mind being told I'm wrong but to be smarmed at by a wide boy in a flash suited really pi55es me off [:'(][>:]

Dappula the information I posted above refs PSE for 987 3.2 came from East London [:D] They emailed it to me this week so if you want to get even go back to the smarmy wide boy in a flash suit and tell him to get off his designer ar$e and learn what is going on in his own organisation :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Many thanks for the info, didn't expect to get so much so soon :)

Re: PSE, if i do go down that route, i'm intending to fit it manually for the fun/experience of it. But, with regards to it being not possible to retro-fit, could that really be the case or are they just unable to supply a reasonable answer as yet? I can't see what could be the problem, unless the fact that it took so long to develop has something to do with it.

BTW, Daro there is a chap on my local forum that has the Tubi installed and running. He recently sold off his 987 but i am sure he will be able to answer some of your questions.

Here are a few clips that he took: In-car - Drive-off

Daro, My chum John in South Africa wanted to fit a Milltek sports ex to his Boxster Coupe. His yarpie OPC warned him that it voided the warranty so he's staying quiet....
Back in the 1990s when I was still in my teens, I had a three valley exhaust on my 2.7 Carrera. Sounded like a wounded aardvark having root canal treatment without an anaesthetic but on the rollers it only gave 207 bhp. Putting a standard SSI exhaust manifold and back box on the car turned it into 220 bhp. It still wears the quiet box[;)] I must be getting old.
( PS Three valley exhaust? Wossat? A three valley exhaust is one that's so loud that when you fire it up, the pigeons start to fly three valleys away.....[:D])

It will be about 10 weeks before the kit is released. Once that happens Porsche will publish fitting times so we can be exact on the total cost.

[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=tms rmn"]
Until then I'm afraid we cannot finalise any costings.

My contact within Porsche confirmed the above figures and that the retrofit is entirely possible. It sounds like a few people firing off before thinking at the OPC's.

Popolou then all things are "all normal" in the world of OPC's [:D]

The deal breaker will probably be the £100-120ph OPC's will want for there labour expertise an indi would be half the price and several after market exhaust suppliers will supply & then fit for free! Can't see any OPC being so customer friendly :ROFLMAO:
