A quick update for you.

23 cars are signed on - if anyone else wants to come please advise us asap.

We would suggest filling up before arrival if necessary ( route mileage is between 90 and 100 miles and petrol in Malton can be a pain to get at ) - coming from M62 there is a Total station soon after leaving the dual carriage way referred to in instructions below.

The Triton will be open for coffee/tea and bacon sandwiches ( and loos ) from 0930

Here is the link for the start venue

www.thetritoninn.com/Directions.html

and this gives you a map.

We have updated the written instructions from the M62 to read :-

Coming by road?
If you have a GPS or other satellite route planner, enter our post code HU15 1QE for directions. We have parking spaces for almost 100 cars on the premises and parking is free. Brantingham has no yellow lines or other parking controls but if you park in our village, please respect access and other needs of residents.

FROM HULL / HESSLE

Take the A63 west and then take the turnoff for Brough and Elloughton - about 1 miles past the new Melton intersection and Shell 'Grand Dale' Filling station. As you leave the A63 take the right hand lane at the traffic lights. On going through the lights you need to turn left for Elloughton.

In Elloughton village turn RIGHT at the cross roads (the Half Moon pub will be in front of you). Follow the road around the left bend and head along a straight road for another mile - Ionians' rugby ground on the left and the A63 is over a fence on your right. At the T junction ahead follow the road round to the right, over the bridge over the A63, and the Triton is immediately on your left.

FROM THE M62
Head east on the M62 and Junction 38 (the eastern end) continue along the A63. Take the next junction (South Cave, Market Weighton A1034) and stay right as you go up and leave the dual carriageway. Turn right ( sign posted Brough Broomfleet South Cave Westend ) and cross the A63 and then, at the roundabout, go sharp right, passing the Total filling station on your left. Ahead a quarter of a mile, and then turn LEFT at the signpost for Brantingham. Follow the road for about a mile and you will see The Triton ion your right.

From MARKET WEIGHTON
Head south along the A1034, through South Cave and then over the A63. At the roundabout on the otherside of the A63 take the right hand turn towards Brough, and then the next left - the turn off is signposted Brantingham and will lead you back over the A63 right up to the pub entrance.

You will get road book, rally plate and instructions on arrival - there may also be a few small goodies to thank you for turning out.

There will be coffee paid for by the club at the Triton and there will be bacon sandwiches available to purchase.

We will be releasing cars at 120 sec. intervals from 1030 .

We will inform you of the running order when you sign on at which time we will collect £10 per car from you.

Half way is Burton Agnes Hall where there will be dedicated parking , loos, a coffee and cake shop.

John Hawkins of Specialist Cars of Malton is kindly opening his restaurant for us at the finish in Malton - first car is likely to reach there c.1400.

This is the menu he is making available and from personal experience we can guarantee the food is first class.

Thanks for the details Andrew. Efficient as ever; only hope I can live up to it on the day and won't waste my restaurant booking! Lets hope for some good weathe like this week.
Any significance in the pudding on the menu being in bold type?

Paul.

Paul

Thanks for kind words - we do try to get it right.

No significance - I just copied and pasted it and never noticed ! That said any fule kno that pud. is the most important part of the meal as my waist line will testify.

Your comment re. weather is dead right but we would ask that people come along even if its less than perfect weather in their non Porsches if necessary.

Andrew and Steve.

Please note that my navigator will now be my brother Martin and not my wife Jackie. Having seen how the rally works my wife decided to drop out unless the Road Book could be bound with the contents upside down!!

Ian

Thanks for info. - I'm sure your wife would have been more than capable of dealing with the task ( and if that sounds patronising it wasn't meant to! ).

See you on Sunday.

Andrew and Steve.
