Turbo brake deflector

Anyone have a spare one please? It's the curved deflector that bolts on to the front shock and aims air towards disc/calliper. One of mine is broken/missing.

Have you tried an OPC.....i bought a complete set admittedly some years ago now but they cost very little...I doubt that the price would have increased much as they probably only cost a pound or two to produce....

Ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Haaaaaa! Oh Pete I do love you - you make me laugh so much! [:D] Have you seen how much Porsche sell things like nuts and bolts for? Little washers for several quid? Plastic things in the heating system that will cost less than a penny to make cost pounds if you want to buy one.

My experience is that the correlation between cost to make and sale cost at an OPC is very poor indeed!

Craig, I'd really think about making one of those myself. A bit of sheet ally and a hammer and a piece of curved wood to form it over and you'd have something workmanlike in 10 minutes. And it's hidden away in the wheelarch so you'd never see it even if it did look a bit rough.

Oli.

well done...I do recall them being very cheap but then to fabricate them would be pretty straight forward with a steel die and press....they can probably make hundreds in just a few minutes......I agree Oli...having bought a fair few myself Porsche bolts are crazy prices...there's no excuse for that whatsoever....

I've got the 968 ducts and they work very well indeed. However, I also have 968 part number A-arms with the bosses in them to mount the 968 cooling scoops.

If if you just fitted the strut ducts without the A-arm scoops then they may be more inefficient than the standard deflection plates (or more efficient who knows).

I retro fitted the ducts into the front of the arch liners, who knows if Porsche deleting those made much difference ?

Anyone fitted both? Strut duct would need air ducts in the wheel arch to work. The sstandard wheel arch liners have the template for the duct pressed in to them, just need a drummer to cut them out.

Yes - I have the turbo bumper ducts and the 968 scoops together. Together with Mintex M1144 pads one never felt the need to go for a full ducted setup.
