Turbo cab, anyone?

Nice to see someone going to such special lengths to present a splendid ad for a wreck[8|][&:]

Got to be the statement of the year "Worked fine daily before this". Always be suspicious of 'this'. [:-]

errr... what is that exactly? It's a 924 engine in a 944 body. There is a 944 badge and a turbo sticker. It's also a cabriolet with a square dash? I didn't think such a thing was made!?

It's a 924, not a turbo, with a lashed-up 944 conversion and a very ropey cab conversion. It ticks pretty much every box on the list of things not to look for when buying a Porsche!

I thought Tref might like it, but he has too many projects already. :ROFLMAO:

Don't knock it - it should keep you and Paul Hedges in articles for Porsche Post for the next few years! It really is a very confused motor-car. If I had the space I would be tempted by it for spares - just look at how many different models it could provide parts for - but not at that price!

By the way, I believe it to be a 924 with a 944 bodykit - things like the heater blower type and four stud hubs give it away as a 924 rather than a 924 engine in a 944 shell... and then the roof peeled off.

1981 X reg gives it away as a 924 also.. 944 didn't come along until 1982.

Some of these conversions actually look credible..

...the very same ebay car on a better day..

..wft? a 924 couch?
