TURBO CDC 3 CHANGER MOUNTING BRACKET

hi can anyone help when i bought my 2000 model 996 turbo the cd changer and its mounting bracket were missing from luggage compartment i have now brought the correct cdc -3 player and a new mounting bracket for right hand drive turbo part number 996 645 231 00 this fits the cd changer fine but there is no way it will fix to chassis there are two m6 studs on chassis for bolting mounting bracket to but will nowhere near fit the bracket listed above does anyone know if there were two types of mounting bracket for this model as i can only find two listed which are the same just left or right handed which just have the mounting points to the left or right which would make no difference in this case any help would be appreciate thanks adam
 
I show two other part numbers 996 645 229 00 (LHD) and 996 645 230 (RHD) maybe Richard will chime in shortly.
