Turbo engine sold for £510.00

An ebay auction has just ended for a 1986 944 turbo engine (Item number: 320024983010). It was stated as having done 130k miles and was located in Dumfries, Scotland. Other information given was:
ROAD TESTED 300 MILE HOME BEFORE BREAKING THE CAR
FAST, GREAT COMPRESSION, USES NO OIL, GREAT OIL PRESSURE
It sold for £510.00 - does that seem reasonable, I would have expected at least a grand? Does anyone know of such an engine selling for more?
