Turbo Exhaust Crossover Pipe

After spending today poking around under the car making a mental note of things to address I pushed up around the centre of the crossover pipe and it moved/flexed. Now I'm guessing it shouldn't do this and whilst there is no exhaust soot it does look like there is a bit of a hot patch, has anybody else experienced this?

where was it flexing? the heat shield on the pipe or at the weld? I have had a weld crack on my coupe but it was on the short pipe on the wastegate, and it definitely leaked (soot - noise!)

Its flexing in the middle of that second picture, I have to do a spot of welding around the flange on the longer pipe off the wastegate.
