turbo for under 3k

You're right - looks a bargain

wonder why it's so cheap? - clutch change is one of the most expensive jobs to worry about

I'm willing to bet it will need the best part of £1500 spending almost immediately [;)] - but then so will the £5k ones...

Gave the bloke a call.

He says the clutch has just been done, full service history and he thinks the belts were done at the last service. No rust apparently either. All the electrics work including the aircon as well. Diff is quiet and it's been in no accidents.

"If it's too good to be true, then it usually is" springs to mind?

Same owner for 15 years is always a good sign. The car would have been circa £20k when he bought it and if he has used it and not just locked it away then he could probably have afforded to look after it. It could be one of those 1 in a 100 cheap bargains where the seller looks at the prices of crap ones and prices it similarly.

Worth a look with your eyes open

Sounds very promising - worth a punt for £2500 [;)]

Cheaper than an S2 - and this will be much better (that's right , isn't it Oli? [:D])

I am considering getting a professional inspection done on this car as spending 3k on a turbo seems like a great idea to me but I think it would be worth £200 to get some idea as to what the likely future expenditure might be.

Can anyone recommend someone to do this for me. The car is for sale in East London.

Thanks,
Dario
