Turbo Front Discs on ebay

I may have to outbid you then Scott [;)]

They also fit the rear of an S2 and my rear Zimmermans squeal like baby piggies in a blender. All normal solutions have failed so I may just have to replace them with genuines

Paul,

are your zimmermans crsoss drilled? Do you know if 'the squeal' is a common problem with these discs?

Matt

Paul,
Did you win the disks in the end? They eventually went for £82 but I couldn't join in with the last minute bidding because work have just blocked ebay!!

By the way i've got cross drilled Zimmermans fitted to the front of mine and they don't squeal at all. The understanding i've got from reading alot of threads on squealing brakes seem to point to the choice of pads (i.e.using more track orientated pads) or not using some sort of anti-squeal system whether it being fitting anti-squeal pads or using Copperslip.

Mine has Zimmermann cross drilled discs all round (with Pagid FR) and the backs squeal like pigs. Agree with Scott about the futility of anti-squeal shims etc.

Justin.

No I didnt win (I forgot all about it [8|]).

I don't have cross drilled and the pads are standard OEM Textar. This is my third set of Zimms and Textars IIRC in teh past 8 years but these are a real pain in teh butt. It doesn't help that the car no longer hammers up the motorway for 15k miles a year but is instead driven about a mile a day in stop start traffic by someone who only gently touches the brake pedal [;)]. As a consequence I think they glaze over pretty quickly. A few hard stops from 70mph temporarily cure the squeals [:)]
