Turbo front wings

Alpine

New member
I'm trying to source 2 front wings for my S2.

I've found a drivers side wing from a Turbo.

At the bottom of my wing is a plastic trim which is bolted onto the bottom of the wing with 3 bolts.

Can anyone tell me if the Turbo had this plastic trim.

I don't want to buy the wing off the Turbo only to find that I have no way of attaching my plastic trim.

cheers

Thanks for that

one more question, the bit that the trim screws into, is that part of the wing itself or just an attachment to it ?

I can't honestly say I remember for sure, but I think it's part of the wing. As I recall there is a metal strip that I took to be part of the plastic trim and that attaches to the wing.

They are small right-angled lugs that are welded onto the bottom of the wing which is why you tend to see that the trim never seems to fit very well as it pulls and bends the lug away from the wing giving the trim a distorted look. A real pain in the bum. I've just had the bottom of my passenger wing repaired and the trim still doesn't fit right.

I'll be looking closely at these lugs myself soon, I'm going to repair the bottom of my nearside wing and repaint the offside sill over the Easter weekend [:-]. The OPC paint from two years ago is just peeling off []

Recently there's been a lot of talk about Dinitrol rustproofing etch primers and also the Wurth 'bobbly' paint along the bottom of the sills.

Does anyone know the definitive product names and/or codes for these products? There seems to be a bewildering choice [&:]
