I have a 944 turbo gearbox sitting on a pallet I no longer need. It has an oil cooler but are there any other ways of determining what type of gearbox it is or what year of car it came from?

numbers on bellhousing are 016 301 103.

Will be looking for around £450, located in Aberdeen but can freight anywhere.

They all show that, Sir.
Should be something like UX, UY, AOR, etc. followed by 5 figures ...

well, if it is the numbers on the back right of the gearbox, these are pretty much unreadable due to surface corrosion. Could be HC in the big box? (1cm high)
