Turbo going....going.....going

My white turbo s is leaving me for pastures new.

RPM Porsche specialists are selling it for me and its now on their website.

It's been an amazing car, and getting inside it again this morning after a couple of weeks, simply reminded me how stunningly quick and capable it is in all weathers, including a dull damp October morning like today. It's even sounding better and better as its gets older, although its only got 12000 on it still.

I must admit I am in two minds but I know with a new supercar next summer and the strong desire to get into racing, it's time to move on and make way for new toys. I have started today looking at 968 race cars for track focussed fun.

The highlight has been the Italian road trip we did earlier this year to Imola and then all the famous car factories in Italy plus the Stelvio, San Bernadino, Gotthard and other passes, the Porsche and Merc museums and the Ring. It's simply ate the miles, belted done the autobahns, gripped around the hairpins and fulfilled everything you could have hoped for in a car in one fuel filled week.

Then on its little occasional jaunt onto track it's almost the quickest on circuit even against special track cars, ok Radicals excluded but most other things and just surprises everyone, flattering my driving ability in the process.

I will be watching closely for the 991 turbo model. I can only imagine how good it will be.

In the meantime I can't ever leave the mark entirely so a little race car will help keep me here in the club but I am afraid it's Italian next for a change.

A change is sometimes good and helps you appreciate just how good the Porsche is...

Like you I had some amazing time abroad in my standard Turbo and know I'll miss it at times..

The problem is once youve had a turbo you want it as well as the exotic weekend special......|(italian or otherwise)
