Turbo has gone but boats are best

My wonderful 997 Turbo has been sold but the weather has been glorious and so my attention has turned again to boats. I was very lucky to get a ride in a 36 Goldfish which was truly incredible. The boat was a demonstrator (first in the UK) and has already been sold so we were not able to go crazy but still managed a comfortable 75 Knots (86 MPH) which I would say is similar to 180MPH in the Turbo.

Two offset 380 HP engines give incredible performance

The performance this boat generates is truly breathtaking and this is the fastest I have been on the water. The Prototype 36 came second in the round Brittain race last year and would have won but for a mechanical failure. The production versions now have that problem fixed. The boat that won had 3,000 HP which is the traditional way of going fast on the water

We have had a good powerboating year in Poole and we get to see some very interesting machinery

At least you have something to take your mind off the missing Turbo while your waiting for yout GT3[:D]

When is the likely arrival date?

The GT 3 will be built in November. I let the Turbo go a little early as the market is firm at present and I have got a better price than I was expecting

In top trumps, helicopters beat cars, boats and planes.
They certainly do when it comes to crashes/mile[:D] (Only kidding!) Well, my r/c one does anyway[:(]

I think you probably win Derek BUT does it have an interior like this:

or one of these in the back:

or an engine room like this:

I guess some of us like to fly others float but you know what they say if it flys or floats?

But can it do 200 mph?

Actually I do have a 4 man liferaft in the back, and an ELT and a novel way of landing in the sea:

The happiest day of my life was when I bought my sail boat, the next happiest day was when I sold it.

Tearing up fifty pound notes whilst standing in a cold shower is a close analogy

I hope the new owner has as much fun as I did. Great car

Gary the OEM exhaust is going back on and I expect I will put my DMS exhaust on the "members for sale" section of the forum once I get it back
