Turbo Insurance

Are there any 'recommended' insurance companies for 911 Turbo's? Just enquired about the premium difference between my 997S and a 996 TurboS (as the 997T isn't yet available) and it's 3 x price - over £2.5K + £1K excess[:'(]
Is this the norm?
Thanks
Graham

I pay £850 with Direct Line for two named drivers living in London, restricted mileage (10k) but with business use.

There are other posts on this topic.

I tried both 'specialists' and mainstream insurers and there was a wide variation.

Thanks Gordon, yes my 997S is with Privilege and I just paid £850 for the coming year - but it seems over£75K incures a different set of rules!
A Manning & Co have come back at a more reasonable (!) £1300
Just need a delivery date now[&:]

They also have another set at £30k combined with dodgy software and an attitude when you point out there errors, which is why I switched to Heritage.

Seems very pricey. My 993TT is £900 - car valued at up to £75K. I am 29 years old as well. With Tesco.

Privilege were £660 wanted tracjker after taking out
and Heritage £609 inc PCGB trackdays(did'nt need 2nd NCD just proof of one)
I'm 45, no claims, countryside, but its LHD and I approximated 5k miles but they said thats variable on a phone call without charge!

Sorry I didnt put the prices down as the companies are so variable, someone has theres insured on the same basis with AON for £450, I rung them and the quoted £900 and he was 10 years younger!!

I`m with A manning Ltd, £445 with 5k annual mileage limit and PCGB trackday cover for myself 47 and GF 45.

They were about £700 for me, I have a suspicion that as the year goes on that they fill there quotas and it gets more expensive
