Turbo or S?

Hi all, I am about to buy a Cayenne and am leaning towards a turbo as fuel consumption is not too much of an issue as I dont do many miles and the business pays for the fuel. I would appreciate your comments for and against.

I have been offered a Jan 04 turbo Black with Black interior 16000mls a few extras s/r, phone, mfsteering wheel, 19" wheels, monochrome pack. Is £43k a good deal?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I have a 2005 Turbo 500 bhp and get 19 mpg average now done 21,000 mile had an S which gave worse mpg only 17 go for a Turbo.

If you want to up your budget I'm about to sell mine just purchased an Audi S8

I went for the S & get around 15 -20 mpg on a brim to brim test. The computer is 1-2mprg optermistic on mine. I have a few clients with Turbo beasts & they reckon low teens or single figures if they drive hard.... I pay for my fuel so that put me off a little! Either car is stunning.. I really wish I got mine earlier.
For reference my spec.
March 05 S 15k miles when I had it in late July.
Basalt Black, Heated & electric sports seats, full leather trim pack with smooth leather, PCM, phone, 20" alloys, Bi zenons, air suspension (this transforms the car) Ali pack, roof rails + ali strips, detachable tow bar, parking sensors, cruise, rear blinds, privacy glass & some other stuff I can't remember[:)] Basically most of the goodies you get on the Turbo except the engine & LCD screen in the dash. I paid less than £45k from a main dealer with warrenty till March 08.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am going for the turbo! This car does not have the retractable tow bar or privacy glass which were two of my wanted extras but it has everything else, within reason (no tv/dvd) so I am looking for a swan neck removable towbar (not Porsche as they have quoted £1100) and will have the glass darkened with film? hope it turns out OK The local Pork dealership do this so I assume its fine. Should have it next week! Thanks again.

Ross.

Good choice... .... let us know how you get on with it.
I got my Porky tow bar in with the deal & it really is a nice neat fit & invisible with the bumper fill in place, don't spoil the car for a few quid[:-]
I look forward to a Turbo review... not much action on the Cayenne bit of this board... perhaps we can get it going a little.
