Turbo parts help please

Hello all

I hope your collective knowlege can help me. I am trying to finish the restoration of a 1988 Turbo and am missing a few parts and need some advice. Firstly, the main parts are:
1. Rear bumper rubber rub strip
2. All 4 side sill trims
3. Passenger door card in black (possibly driver's side card too)

....there are probably others too which will become apparent later but these at the moment seem to be the trickiest to find.

My main questions are these.
Is the rear rub strip specific to the Turbo or can I use the same off a Lux/924? There seem to be some of these around still attached to bumpers in breakers/e-bay from time to time. A new example for the Turbo is in the region of £160 from my local OPC! ....
and...
am I likely to be able to remove the offending item from the bumper without damaging it? As for the other parts, well they seem to be as rare as hen's teeth - as simple as that.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Ok, then go to search engine Google and type in PORSCHE 944 TURBO CAR PARTS. There are loads of websites there and worth investigating.

Do you want the black plastic sill trims or the colour coded bump strip along the side? I assume you mean the black ones and I know what they are worth [;)] but I have all 4 available. If you mean the bump strips then they are spare too, assuming they come off without breaking.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I think the only difference with the bumper rubbers is that some earlier ones don't have the cutout for the towing eye like a Turbo has.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

The rear bumper rubber strip that you need is from the Turbo & S2 models only because you need the cut out for the towing eye. The other 944s & 924s all have the towing eye below the bumper.

If you're still struggling try the guys at Prestige Salvage in Leeds - I sourced loads of bits from them, including a rear bumper rubber strip [:)]

You could also try PH Sportscars. He has an aladin's cave of Porsche parts and I have got sill trims from there before. He's in the East Midlands just outside Derby just off J24 of the M1 - 01332 799298.
