Turbo pipework question

Afternoon all, where does the rubber pipe from the dump valve on the exhuast connect too? Looked at a car today and the pipe had obviously broken off something as it sitting right beside the metal clutch hose with a jubilee clip and bit of meta pipe burst off. Had a look about but couldn't see anything obvious??????

Alisdair if by the dump valve then you mean the wastegate then the pipe goes from the top of the wastegate to the cycling valve under the left side of the inlet manifold. The KLR tells it to open the wastegate valve to divert exhaust away from the turbo to prevent overboost. Yes can be a bugger to see where all the tubes go!!!
 
Anyone have a piccy of the valve? It looked like the manifold has been off as the 2 Allen scres that fastne the manifold on are long gone. Anyone got a spare valve???

Alisdair if you still have that piccy of my engine bay in pieces when I changed the turbo you can see the cycling valve at the top of the pic above the Idle Stabilisation Valve. Will send it again if you want mate?
 
Still got the pic Rob, thanks again. Very helpful. Probably means I have to take the inlet manifold off! Joy!

Get a manual boost controller (or even just a boost enhancer valve) and run the line from the wastegate directly to your intake pipe (the one in front of the inlet manifold where there's a bolt connection). If you run the line direct with nothing in it you'll get a safe boost mode of about 0.6bar or something but then by limiting slightly the flow with a valve you can get back to any boost level you desire (including standard) and you'll have reduced your lag too.
 
No need to take manifold off (I am told)

Promax replaced my cycling valve without doing so [8D]
