Turbo refurb

Hey guys,

I think the turbo on my 1987 needs a refurb. I have had the head rebuilt recently and the bores are good but it still uses oil more than it should (only when driving hard) Its an 87 so K26/6. Does anybody have any recomendations about who to go to? Is it a DIY job? Is it possible to uprate the K26/6 to K26/8 or equvilent? I'v read that is.
