Turbo Rims

Hi All,

I can't stop looking at Turbo rims lately as I think they do look the part. What width and offset should I be looking for and can I get away with 18's? What do they look like under the arches with standard suspension, what I mean is does it ride high after fitting?

Also when I bought the car the seller gave me a full spare set of D90 rims, they are scuffed and probaby need a re-furb and new tyres, what are they worth? He also gave me a second hand rear screen with frame without a spolier, what would this be worth?

Thanks, Chris.

Chris

I have 7.5J front 9J rear will have to check the offsets. Standard M030 suspension.

A set of D90's needing tyres are worth in the region £100 - £150.

Thanks Rich, that looks the nuts!

Does the M030 kit made the car sit lower than my standard S2?

That does look good Rich (would be even better if they were painted graphite [;)]). Makes me feel sorry I decided to sell mine [&o]

Use this offset calculator to work out the exact offset needed to match your current wheels and to see where alternatives will place the outer edges:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

You can fit up to 9" wheels at the front and 10" wheels at the back, but that is a little extreme. As long as you use the correct profile tyres then the rolling radius will be identical to the original 16" D90's. That website also has a tyre size calculator.

The M030 suspension is adjustable for ride height so you can set it to whatever you want (within reason). At factory settings it is a little lower than S2

here's my turbo on standard suspension with 18" twists. It does sit a little higher than i would like, hopfully when my wallet's stopped twitching i'll fit Bilsteins or KW.

Thanks for the info guys, I think i'll be keeping my eye out for a set!

The rims Riggernut and Rich have fitted, are the called Cup 3?

I must admit I was surprised at how heavy my 17" cup 1`s are when compared to 16" D90`s
