Well it has taken a while but eventually got the scoops back from the paint shop and fitted them.

Next mod is the Bilsteins and H&R springs which will hopefully sort out the ride which is definitely getting worse[:D]

It's that Mark Clowes fault, he talked me into it[:D]

Actually I had seen some 993's with body colour scoops and I was'nt taken by them. Mark suggested that to keep the original look of the fog lights to paint them silver.

which looks good... as the blended look gives an odd - shortened feel to the front of the smile to the 993 !

No additional ducting - i think this would have involved some hacking out of the internal metalwork. To be honest the car used to stop pretty well anyway and i never suffered brake fade. Fitted pure and simply for looks[:)] and to match the air scoops in the rear quarter panels[8D]

No ducting as there is a fair bit of hacking of internal metalwork and I did not think it was necessary as the brakes are very well cooled for my needs.

Main advantage is that the oil cooler gets a bit more air to it at low speeds.

I might have to get those Turbo S air scoops and have them silver too (OK, I'm copying but will look good against Iris Blue). Have to come after some centre console upgrades, including alloy gear lever and handbrake.

Gert does the scoops rather reasonably - genuine Porsche with built-in lights. Does anyone know whether the similar bits from Design 911 are the genuine articles?

Hey William,

These are fitted with a 5w lamp right?
FYI: I have organised a group buy on Rennlist for the MA Shaw ducts that come with a 38w driving light.
if anyone's interested pls let me know and I'llgive out the details (sorry to hijack this thread!!).

btw: the silver look is great - nice move!

Surj,

What type of bulbs are being used as the connector wire is very thin and may be overheated and melt.

I have upgraded my lamps to 10w with a BMW bulb. It does look better I will try and find the part number if you can't wait then try a search on this forum or 911uk.com I discussed back in the day.

I could be intrested in the these ducts as I just managed to smash my lamp on a tow bar. I have a replacement but its a little shabby, if it does not scrub up then maybe I will go this way. In addition a very good friend of mine has a paint shop. Which is nice.

apparently it is the normal air ducts but with a 38w Corvette Fog Light (whch is fixed)....

now I went for the techart version...as below as I thought (may be wrong!) that one had to have the side light for MOT purposes ?? and this has the fog & side light
