Turbo S values

What is the current market value for a Turbo S, 40K miles, large spec?
Are they a good investment, and worth more (ownership rather than cost) than the Turbo?
Thanks,
Richard

Yes, it is red! Looks a clean car, just wondered if price was a bit strong. Would like to minimize the depreciation factor!

At 65 grand (I suspect this is the one you are looking at) it's certainly nowhere near cheap. Very difficult to value these cars but I think it is optimistically priced.

I would want it inspected and confirmed as being in absolutely fantastic condition before even considering at this price.

How long you thinking of keeping the car? Sometimes you have to overpay to get the exact car you want if rare but only worth doing if you are going to keep it IMO.

Ian.

Hi Ian, I would plan to keep the car for some time. I have spoken to the dealer who says someone is having a look at the car this afternoon, I don't think this is a ploy to speed up my decision!

It is the rarity of this red car that partly attracts me to it, as I have seen a few turbos for sale in the mid forties. 65K is a big step up from this!

Or do I just go for a really nice C2S, my original choice!

Thanks for your input,
Richard.

This car in question, didn't someone post on heresaying that they bought it a little while ago???? (there was a picture of it outside the dealers). I did a quick search for the post but couldnt find it. As for value, as there's only 30 or so they rarely come up, those genuine ones I have seen for sale have all been in the 60's.
Alan.

Hmm. Weird. Either it's not the same car, or he's a trader trying to turn a quick profit. I'd want cast iron proof of ownership tho'.

Thanks Adrien, the reason I couldn't find the thread was because it was on a differrent forum [8|] That PH thread does make interesting reading...

The advert says "one owner". The thread on the turbo forum (and PH) seems to suggest otherwise. Lovely looking car though (thinks - triple roll over this Saturday......)

It seems to be one owner because the current owner has never registered it in his name ... that seems the explanation from what I have read ... which of course raises certain questions ...

...... and room for negotiation? It's certainly an interesting history.

My wife quite often buys clothes and then decides they don't fit/suit. Mind you, I'd take a bit more of an interest if she started spending £60k before realising that it wasn't what she wanted.[&:]

Never registering the car certainly solves the problem of avoiding all those speeding tickets you'll get in it!
