Turbo Tie Rods..?

Has anyone fitted Turbo Tie Rob ends to a late 3.2 Carrera..?
I have been told that you get a noticable improvement in handling, is this true and a worth while upgrade..?

Thanks for any advice...

I have fitted turbo tie rod ends to my 87 3.2, with the most noticable difference being less ' rattle' back through the steering wheel, and a generally ' tighter' feel to the front end.

These terms are a bit vague, but it does seem like a more direct connection to the front wheels. The originals contain rubber joints, wheras the new contain proper metal universal joints, which I assume accounts for the better feel.

Have I made any sense ?

My experience is the same as John' s - the steering feels a bit nicer and more direct but no quantifiable handling increase. I also had the steering rack replaced and a bumpsteer kit fitted at the same time so it is hard isolate the effect of the tie-rods alone.

The rack spacers for bumpsteer made the biggest difference IMHO taking away a lot of shock transmission over bumps.
