Turbo Wheels

I'm looking to keep my S2 pretty standard but fancy some slightly wider turbo wheels. What size are they compared to mine and will they go straight on?

Cheers

You just missed out on a set of forged ones from a Silver Rose on eBay. I was bidding for a while when I hoped nobody who knew what they were had seen them but they went for £310 in the end. I think they were worth every penny of that, but I can't spare £350 with delivery for a spare set of wheels quite yet.

The Turbo D90's were 9" and 7.5" (yours will be 8" and 7"). I'm just about to post a pic of my old S2 coupe with 9" rears and it's old 8" rears on the front in the M474 dampers thread - a combination the guy I sold it to ran and my intended combo for track wheels on my Turbo.

I wsa watching those wheels Fen, but I've just spent £500 odd on engine bits for my Mk1 so decided to skip it. As you say, it's a lot of money for a spare set

Hmmmm... guess who bid £300? [:(] It was the new set of tyres on top that stopped me from going any higher.

anyone still have a link to the auction?
I'd like to have a look at what they were like

Cheers, Tim.

I was watching that one too [;)] My track tyres are mounted on standard D90's and I fancied another set of Forged.

It was too rich for my blood though [:D]

.....and yes Northernbloke they will fit straight on your S2

Wheels (assuming they are Design 90's ) in good condition with good tyres go for £250 - £300 ish.

How do you know if they are the forged ones? My d90s on my s2 are not as wide as the wheels on the turbo. Turbo rears are 245 50 16

A well I should maybe keep them as a track set. teh condition is only average so prob about £200 which is not worth it.
Cheers guys
