Turbo wing sticker

Does anyone have any experience of fitting one, the car is going in for paint shortly and upon its return I have one ready to fit. any advice greatly received, whether its fitting procedure or exactly where it should be positioned I would be very grateful.

Plenty of soapy water and do not get your fingers on the back too much OEM backing paper pretty much guides you to where it should be, i would google a few pics to get it right, i have seen a few which are not in the correct position and they look tat TBH.

Fill a spray bottle with water and add a drop of wash up liquid.
Clean the wing with cotton wool with some nail varnish remover to shift any grime and wax.
Mist the wing with the spray bottle.
WET YOUR FINGERS TOO!. Wet finger tips leaves little if any no marks on the sticky bits.
Apply vinyl to the car, slide it into position, then with a soft cloth press the excess moisture and air bubbles out for a clean finish.
Should be easy.. much easier then a new set of stone guards for sure!

Oh, forgot to add, (and it's none of my business) but I'm not a fan of the Turbo wing decal.

That's ok I know its not everybody's cup of tea. It will be a double dislike for some as I'm adding a vented badge panel.

I'm doing the 931 vented badge panel too!! But going for the (French) red Cup badge on the rear to make the car stand out front and rear..

I like the Sticker,on a 88/89 car with rubber spoiler and CS wheels,on a car with a bridge spoiler and D90s not so much.

My car came with one originally it was missing when i bought it so put it back on, i like it.....................TUUUURrrrbboo [:D]

Where can you get these wing stickers from ? I know a few years ago Rick Cannell was looking to produce some though not sure he does any more. Do Porsche themselves still sell them ?

Porsche sell them - Rick Cannell does too.

Best bet is to call him or check his website at the weekend rather than during the week [;)]

I have a replica Clubsport decal for sale if anyone fancies it. £15 posted. Its in a dark grey vinyl

I like the turbo stickers, time and place, great addition, post some pics when you have completed it. I'm intrigued as to how anyone other than Porsche can supply these, I thought there were copyright issues etc associated with selling these kinds of decals?

Will do[;)]

Nice SE by the way, I tried to buy a black one off e bay just about three years ago. Would love to see some more pictures [;)]

That may well have been my old one. Apparently it changed hands 3 years ago. Can you remember its location? I'll post some pics in the other section.
