turbo

Today I put some new engine mounts on, whilst laying on my back looking up I could see that the air intake to the turbo was not secured properly. If you look at the picture you can see why, so a new one will be next on my ever growing list of parts to replace, whilst there I looked at the turbo and spotted some broken/damaged fins.
my question is although there is no movement in the turbo should I be unduly worried
Cheers
Dave

That turbo is fucked. I was expecting to see some little chips. Will be well off blance and spin high rpm that they do I would replace. Or get re built. Check the intercooler see if there any bits in there. I'm going to be removing mine shortly. 26/8 There's no blade damage, no play, no leaks off oil out side. Just the seal on the hot side so it put oil though the exhaust, if your going for a rebuild seal kit may be worth a shot.

Hi I'm new here. Looking to buy a 944 Turbo. Was wondering if anyone knows a garage called Augment Automotive and Barlyn Services? Thanks Soli
