Here's an odd one for you... when driving along at a sedate pace say 40mph in 5th, with the throttle only slightly depressed everything sounds nice and sweet. If I then take my foot off the throttle and the car starts to slow down due to engine braking I get what I can only describe as a 'tweety bird chirping noise' for a few seconds whcih sounds like it's coming from the rear of the car/gearbox. It doesn't happen under hard accellaration and gear changes. It doesn't sound like a nasty sound as if somethings about to let go so i'm not particularaly worried but I would just like to know what it is.
