Twin Cooling Fan Relay the expensive one

I have an issue with the cooling fans both of them intermittently coming on even when the car has been parked for a while and the engine is cold. I have removed the cable from the thermal switch on the radiator and the fans keep running. This would suggest that the problem is with the relay? Can anyone confirm that this is a correct assumption?
As the relay in question is £135 I want to be sure that replacing it will cure the problem.
Does anyone know where I might pick up a cheaper one? So far I the best I have found is £135 on the type 911 website.

In my experience it is not unusual for these relay's to fail, I have fit quite a few to both 944's and 968's. But like you say given the cost you would like to be sure that is the faulty part, and the only sure way is to fit a known good relay and try it!
