Two minor queries please

Morning all. Hope everyone is still alive and kicking.
Only driven my car once after 6 weeks of ownership ....... and it has thrown up a couple of minor questions...
Does the 991 give out a beep when selecting reverse n PDK? My last two 997 turbos did and I quite like it, so if it has can you give me a heads up as to how I turn it on, please?
Also one of the dials lights up with "Inspection now" for a few seconds at start-up. Car was serviced a couple of months ago and no miles since. No one at Nottingham. Any ideas? Have they forgotten to reset the system?
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks and stay safe

Horace, no beeps on selecting reverse unless my parking sensors trip because I am close to something (single beep depending on range), and this wasn't something my Panamera did either.
For your service light you may want to check in the cars message/service section and see what it says there, it should tell you when the next two services are due (major/minor) both days and mileage which will give you an indication of whether the service light was reset or its something else.
Hope this helps - Philip

Morning Philip,
Many thanks for that. Yes my thoughts exactly on the service thing, I eventually found out how on page 4012 !!!! of the Driver's Manual, (not the easiest manual to navigate) along with other bits to check e.g. TPM and units, mirror folding on reverse etc. Just off out to the garage in the rain for a few hours. Hope the service bit has been done - not thrilled about the prospect of a 120 mile round trip to have a button pressed - WHEN they are eventually allowed to open. Don't know if another Centre is allowed (or willing) to do it?

Hi Horace, yes if you are not familiar with the computer it talks some time to work through. If you have a stamped service book any OPC should reset the service indicator - they should be willing to phone through to the other OPC to validate if necessary.
Not a great start to 991 ownership, but I am sure you'll enjoy it once the lockdown is lifted.
Philip
