Two Questions?

Hi, I'm really new to the 944 world as in I bought the car yesterday! It's awesome but at the moment there are two things I'm stuck on. I know I should just do some research but I also know you guys will know and it'd just be quicker to ask.

Can you put unleaded fuel in an 1985, B reg, 944 without adding the lead additive? I have been adding the leaded additive, but have heard that I don't need to. Which is best for the car and performance?

Also a real novice question but how do you take the sunroof off? I think I know but am scared to force it until I know for sure.

Any help is really appreciated,

PS. Has anyone got any pearls of wisdom for a novice keen to learn?

All Porsches after about '75 run on unleaded quite happily. Some swear Optimax makes them run better, the only difference I've noticed is to my wallet! But then I'm possible a heathern anyway!! :)

To remove sun-roof:
move ignition ket to first position from off and then press the switch in what appears to be the incorrect sequence - it's actually correct and the roof moves into unlatch and retract mode. Pushing up at the trailing edge confirms. Then undo the front clips to (carefully remove) - it's the opposite to lock it back in place. Ignition on is normal roof up/down

There are actually lots of posts in the archivce that will help solve problems if it really isn't working..

Great! Thanks for all that. Judging by the current weather though, I may not want to take the roof off for some time yet.

Thanks again, you're help is really appreciated.
