What tyres would people recommend for my 1989 2.7ltr 944?

Anything that I should be aware of/stay clear of?

Avoid Pirelli P6000s at all costs.
I have BF Goodrich on the front & find them very hard & noisy, I have Falkens on the rear that are good allround IMHO

H rated are up to 130mph
V rated are up to 149mph

Both should be suitable with our 70mph max speed limit but I would choose the V rated tyres.

Just replaced front tyres on my '86 944 Lux..decided to go with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's (V-tred and Y speed rating(i doubt that i'll ever get a chance to do 186mph))..can't complain..not too much noise and keeps me on road pretty good..and from mytyres.co.uk only cost me around £160 for a pair of 225/45/17"..[:)]

ORIGINAL: 944turboS

H rated are up to 130mph
V rated are up to 149mph

Both should be suitable with our 70mph max speed limit but I would choose the V rated tyres.

I'd be tempted to stick with the speed rating that we recommended by Porsche, otherwise it could effect your insurance cover
