Hi Everyone,
Sorry if I'm just rehashing an old thread, but....
Looking to changing my tyres in preparation for a trip to the 'Ring in November with RMA. Have enquired about Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, Pirelli Rosso Corsas and Toyo r888's through Protyre. According to Protyre, the Michelins and the Toyos aren't N rated and the Pirellis are only N rated for either the front or the rear (can't remember which, sorry). Personally I think it would be more important to have the appropriate trackday rubber attached to my wheels, rather than an N number on road tyres that probably won't be up to the job of two days on track. However, are N numbers still important? Would an insurer use the excuse of non approved tyres as an excuse not to pay out? I'd be grateful for any advice.
Cheers
Johnny
