Tyre decision

Well it's nearly time to change the tyres, my local tyre fitters who I trust and always use have given me these quotes:

Set of 4 PS2's £1250 fitted N rated

Set of 4 PZero's £850 fitted N rated

Now I would prefer the PS2's (as I think they are a better looking tyre???)

But a £400 difference cannot be ignored PZeros are standard factory fit as are the PS2's its a lottery what you get when you order a car. (I think that is correct and includes the Bridgestones?)

So the question is, am I a fool with his creditcard if I stump up the extra and lets face it I won't notice any difference. Will I??????

Regards,

Neil

Depends - you have a C2S (tick) use it "everyday" ie all weather and drive it very hard from time to time the answer is yes. The PS2 grip falls off less steeply in colder weather and genuinely wet weather I've heard a few stories of 2wd being skatey on P Zero's.

Yes Tom, as you say everyday in all weathers and my lack of skill means I'm hard on the tyres[;)]

Looks like the PS2's then...

In my experience the Michelins are better and also last a little longer which helps offset the additional cost. If you shop around I think you should be able to get the PS2s for about £1050.

Currently 13.5k The front have 4mm across and the rears 2-3mm the inside of the rears are at 2mm with the middle and outer portions on 3mm.

I'm very happy with them to be fair..
Good wear rate (I got 12K out of the rears on mine)
Road noise is up slightly on the others as the sidewall is harder but this does give some excellent feedback through the car.

They did come very close to the top on the EVO chart a year or so ago...
Also have a good rim protector.
IMHO

One more for Michelins.
I used both PZero's and PS2.

My own experience:
PS2:
Mor grip (both dry and wet)
Last longer
better handling when drive hard

PZero:
more comfortable ride (softer feel)

definitly ps3,try your opc they quoted me £910,protyre gave the best deal of £850 full set
had pzero before but found they tramlined to much
