Tyre flat spots

Just starting to use the motor again a bit after the winter lay off and have noticed a bit of wheel wobble at around 70mph.

Wondering whether the tyres have deformed having stood so long without turning ? Is this possible and is there a cure ?

I had a friend who bought an ultra low mileage E30 M3 who experienced a similar problem - the tyres had almost sagged. That car had been parked up for a long periods of time though.

Akis,

This is a bit perplexing as the tyre pressure monitor is telling me no loss of pressure over the last 5 months !

Park it with nice hot tyres on a cold garage floor and you'll often get this.

Getting them good and hot again might fix it.

Not a loss of pressure. Just car stood still in the same place for a prolonged period...

Mark might have a good point there, worth trying.

Next time you store it with the wheels on the ground put 55PSI or more in the tyres and rotate the wheels quarter of a revolution every couple of months. It works for me.
